Free health screenings offered by Family Health staff in Prichard on May 24

MOBILE, Ala. – The Mobile County Health Department’s Mobile Medical Unit was in
Prichard Saturday, May 24, 2014, for the Adopt-A-Block program held at City Hall.
Between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. MCHD staff members provided free
screenings for blood pressure and weight checks, as well as clinical breast exams to those
who qualified, in its health clinic on wheels.

Since 1816, the Mobile County Health Department and its staff have worked to promote and protect the health of those who live and work in Mobile County. For more than a
decade, MCHD has been continuously accredited by the Joint Commission and was the first public health agency in Alabama with this designation. More than 40,000 patients visited the Mobile County Health Department’s nine primary care sites, which are now
known as Family Health, in 2013.
